BUILDING THE FRAME

We started with measuring and cutting the plywood for the frame.  Then we attached the wood with L shaped braces in the corners.  When all four panels were put together, we attached them to each other using bungee cords.

CUTTING AND ADDING STYROFOAM

We used a jig saw to cut out four styrofoam pieces to fit perfectly in the panels.  The styrofoam plays a key role in the insulation of our process.

COVERING IN TAR PAPER

In order to water and weatherproof our project, we insulated each panel with a form of tar paper.

ADDING ON LATCHES AND HANDLES

To secure the insulators onto the beehive latches were added. Along with the latches, we also installed two handles for easier installation of the insulator.
