THE DESIGN

Our design for our bee hive insulator is a group four panels connected be rubber bungie cords to create a jacket for the two hives.  
The panels consist of 1 inch Styrofoam surrounded by inch high pine wood to support it. In between each panel there are two bungie cords to create a snug fit around the hive. Over top of the whole product we are going to cover it with a tar paper like adhesive material called Grace ice and water shield. This product will not only protect from weather but is black and will attract the sun to further insulate the hive.
